The Pioneer Foods Fund is a decision-making body that reviews and approves Socio-Economic Development investment initiatives received by the Group. Our primary objective is to promote and pursue the philanthropic vision and mission of the Pioneer Foods Group.

We will invest in sustainable development initiatives that focus on the triple bottom-line; namely, economic sustainability, environment protection and social development. Our development boundaries are as follows:

Targets / Boundaries

Primary

Nutrition: Projects that specifically target those interventions that appropriately improve the ability of previously disadvantaged individuals to feed and nourish themselves and their families; e.g. feeding schemes, soup kitchens, redistribution of food, etc.
Agricultural Initiatives: Projects that are linked to the primary and secondary agriculture, farm profitability and prosperous farming communities with the objective of improving the ability of previously disadvantaged individuals and communities to generate an income from agricultural activities.
Environmental Initiatives: Projects that promote environmental sustainability through environmental stewardship; such as climate change and sustainable renewable energy initiatives.
Disaster Relief: Projects that assist individuals and communities that have been detrimentally affected by natural disasters.
