Feedback Food Redistribution (Feedback) is a non-profit organization that addresses the critical issues of poverty relief, food security and community development in the country by “rescuing” and distributing good quality excess food to over 300 beneficiary organizations in some of the poorest settlements and townships across the Western Cape, KZN, and Gauteng. The organization has grown from having one truck and two staff to a national organization operating a fleet of 23 vehicles and a staff complement of 30 (supported by a regular contingent of volunteers). Over the years, the organization has implemented the following initiatives:

• The Bread Buddies Programme in Cape Town schools in 2002. This initiative has since been expanded into KZN and Gauteng.
• The Food Security & Community Development in the Western Cape and KZN.
• The Ilima Food Security Project in 2005.
