The Winter-Warmer project was recently initiated as part of the Group’s CSI initiatives that focuses on schools classified by the Department of Social Services as belonging to quintile 1. A school in quintile 1 implies that everything from school fees, books, etc. is funded by government. Children in these schools either reside at squatter camps, farms or rural areas. The Pioneer Foods Fund will provide warm rain-resistant tracksuits to 3,731 kids from the following quintile 1 schools:

• Ihlumelo – Mbekweni
• Wagermakersvallei – Wellington
• Dal Josaphat – Paarl
• Groenheuwel – Paarl
• Sonop – Paarl
• Bergendal – Paarl
